Built in 1972, the Henniker Covered Bridge was constructed to the same specifications as the rest of the 19th century New Hampshire bridges around the state. It is a town lattice truss bridge, that spans the Contoocook River, and is restricted to pedestrian use only. It was originally built and continues to be maintained by New England College.
